Thanks to the freedom and power of Storytelling as a communication tool, bring out the reasons why your female and male students can experience negative feelings towards one discipline compared to another.
How does the "Feel GS" activity work?
The Feel GS activity is designed as a game that the teacher can propose in class and is based on the Storytelling methodology.
The teacher has at his disposal a deck of 90 cards divided into 30 incipit cards, 30 object cards and 30 feeling cards from which, in turn, each student will have to draw one card for each type
Starting from the content of the cards drawn, the girls and boys will have to write a short story that contains the three elements drawn and that talks about their experience or how they feel in relation to the situation they will describe.
Objectives of the educational activity
- Increase the awareness of female and male students regarding the existence of gender stereotypes
- Increase the awareness of female and male students regarding the influence that gender stereotypes can exert on individuals both explicitly and implicitly
- Provide female and male students with the tools to recognize the action of gender stereotypes
- Develop the creativity of female and male students
